About Naturopathy
Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are holistic primary care doctors that provide complete family care. NDs look at any underlying imbalances that exist within a client that create dis-ease and prevent them from achieving optimal health. Naturopathic medicine is holistic and focuses on the whole person: the body, mind, and spirit. This personalized approach views the patient at the center, not the disease, because we are so much more than our diagnoses.
Naturopathic recommendations are individualized based on the root cause of the condition, thereby allowing the body to innately heal itself. Recommendations are derived from traditional natural therapies and modern medical science with a goal of restoring function rather than replacing function. When we live in balance with the conditions that determine our health, our whole state of being changes, not merely our symptoms.

Along with undergoing the same basic science classes that medical doctors complete, naturopathic doctors are trained in nutrition, including dietary changes and supplementation, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and hydrotherapy.
